I too just got my first Hering vintage yesterday( in A).I was
recording all day and was too burnt out to really put it through the
wringer, but my initial impression was positive.Definitely a difference
in tone color from what I'm used to ( I'm an LO guy), and decent
response, airtightness, and volume.I've always liked Herings but gave up
on them due to the continuing availablity problems and they didn't seem
to have much longevity.I really like the heavy, solid feel of the harp
and didn't perceive a huge difference in the tuning. I think I
automatically bend to the note my brain is wired to hear anyway. I'll
have to play the vintage for a while before forming any permanent
opinions but I think it's a worthwhile addition to my "arsenal"
