PaulDeLay Band at the Tualatin Crawfish Fest

Paul and his band played two hours of heartfelt,
technically superior blues to a pretty sparse crowd of
mostly community folks in Tualatin OR. I happened to
be visiting my brother in Portland and forced him to
drive me to this little suburb for the show. I might
be the biggest Paul Delay fan in Chicago. As a
harmonica "hobbyist," I know just enough to be
absolutely astonished by his chops, but I am more
astonished by his artistry. He was in the middle of a
community park playing for 150 people who were there
to eat, not to listen, but he did not hold anything
back that I could see. Peter Dammon on guitar and
David Vest on keyboards also ripped up the stage.
This bad boy should travel east and show the blues
world what is happening out in the northwest.
Amazin'.

Mr. G.
