Re: Sleazy Chromatic Blues

Randy, thanks for the feedback and the fest was nice-first time I wasn't
working. I've had the Adler model a long time - 2nd set of reeds and got it in
Germany when the exchange rate was like 3 to 1. So I guess I got a bargain but
your right they are pretty much the same. I will contact Kevin about the
"tenor" 270 Chromatic in C.

Was still curious if any one else has altered their slide to get the holes to
align better on the 16 hole models or has anybody ever noticed that the slide
tends to block up to a third/half of some of the openings into the reed
chamber? Maybe I just got a bad one. It has not been a problem for me on the
270's.

Yes. They're called "tenor tuned" harmonicas. Kevin's Harps sells 'em as
do most really big harp dealers (a music store should be able to get them by
special order).
BTW, nice meeting you at the DC Blues Society concert the other day.

Hey, I think the only difference between the Larry Adler harp and the 280
is the slightly different face plates and, oh, about $30. I could be wrong,
though...other people on here would know.
