	Shape of Things to Come by the Yardbirds was not an instrumental and
started out sort of slow with increasing tempo as the song progressed to a
pretty neat lead solo by Jeff Beck building to a crescendo with a pause before
the final refrain.  It was a fairly popular song from the mid-60's that was
played on AM stations.  I suspect it is, as you said, a recycled song from 
that period.
