I saw J.Geils in the late seventies and although I don't remember the amp,
I do remember seeing a Roland Space Echo and a Ross or Boss 10-band EQ as
part of Magic Dick's equipment. Like any of the older effects units, the
Space Echo has a unique sound but can be (nearly) simulated with a digital
delay.
