Gordon, you're absolutely right. We could do with more than a few 
sessions over here.  I for one immensely enjoyed your post on pub 
sessions.  A welcome respite from the litany of amatuer harmonica player 
sins.  As that nice person from San Antonio pointed out many of the 
offenders have had more than a few.  Sounds  like a temperance problem 
not a harmonica one.  While I understand the open jams here in the US 
with the sign up sheets I suspect more than a few decent players with 
musical stories to share are put off by the legislated atmosphere of it 
all. There are actually some regular events in the US that are very 
similar to what you describe.  Every saturday afternoon in Benson AZ in 
the square by the train depot people gather to play instruments together 
no restrictions no sign up.  There's anothe rcity in the southeast where 
this happens also.  FJM
