Re: Another Trivial Question.

Yes, Muddy is usually credited with writing Mo Jo which is usually played in
the key of E. I have about a half dozen versions of it in different tempo's
including Paul Butterfield, versions with Muddy backed by Cotton, butterfield
and Paul Oscher and a version in the key of D by George Smith. As far as
Pinetop it will depend on who his backup band is. He used to tour with Little
Mike and the Tornadoes and of course Mike plays harp. Where and what dates is
he playing? Hope this helps.

I always thought that Muddy Waters wrote it. I'm pretty sure it's credited to
McKinley Morganfield on the Muddy Waters Chess Box credits. James Cotton
played on the first Muddy Waters recording of it.

Which brings up another question - does Pinetop Perkins tour with a harp
player?
He's in town this weekend and I'm ging to see him since I never have before.
I''m just wondering if there will be any harp playing at his gig.
