Hi Randy,
I’m responding to your ad in harp-L for an Album Reviewer. My name is Michael Curtice. I’m a nonprofessional musician with an insatiable appetite for ‘live’ and recorded music. My music tastes are vast. How the note is played is what draws me in whether it be Bach or The Ramones. The jamband/jamgrass genre hits the most bases for me due to use of jazz, country, blues, rock, calypso, folk, gospel, reggae, soul type chord structures throughout the genre. I come from a family of harp players (grandfather, grandmother, 2 uncles, my father, 1 brother) but I gravitated to horns (trumpet & coronet) and later guitar, bass, ukulele, mandolin and banjo. If being a nonprofessional musician or writer is a deal breaker I totally understand. You’re wanting to bring in the intended listener in hopes of getting your music played and purchased, I get that. But if by chance you’re looking for an opinion from a ‘seasoned’ ear for music type I might be a fit. I’m a huge fan of Little Walter’s and William Clarke’s recordings. Seeing William Clarke at The Zoo Bar (Lincoln, Nebraska) was a special treat. Anyway, I’m just throwing out a line of assistance if you’re still in need of some help with your project. If you’ve got it handled already awesome if not, I’d be happy to help. Hope all is well and the day is smiling on you. Have a great day! Positive Vibrations…Mike
