Thanks for posting Jimmy's obituary. 

I had the pleasure of meeting him several times at SPAH, he was a delightful man as well as being extremely musical. When I attended SPAH in 1998, I persuaded them to let me bring my duo partner Chris Jones so we could perform together and Chris ended up playing guitar with everybody. One very late night he unfortunately left his guitar lying around somewhere and stumbled off to bed without it. 

The next day when he realised what he’d done, he was kicking himself and cursing his foolishnes. As we were wandering disconsolately around the lobby area looking for it, Jimmy suddenly shouted down into the atrium from his balcony ”Hey buddy, I have your guitar!” and brought it down for him. What a guy! Funny, good hearted and highly talented, truly a sad loss.

RIP Jimmy Gordon!
