One of the funniest people I've ever known.  A superb musician who 
famously played with JJ Cale and others.  He had worked on putting 
together the Magic Harps a collaboration with Pierre Beauregard and 
Richard Salwitz (Magic Dick) He was a superb harmonica tech whose tuning 
abilities were top notch, he had the ear.  The world I live in won't be 
the same going forward knowing that Jimmy is no longer with us.  It was 
and is a privilege to have known him.  My world was profoundly changed 
by the several harmonicas he built for me.  In particular a low E tuned 
to the Super Streamliner tuning scheme.  I think but I am not certain 
that SS tuning was his invention.  I mourn the loss of of one of the 
most significantly intriguing people I have ever known in the harmonica
