I think I have outgrown the belief that if I just get the right harp in the right tuning, I will suddenly become an amazing player. That said, I'm delighted to learn that there is a Barry Harris tuning. Very cool!
For those who might not know about him, I found a series of videos a couple of years ago that goes deeply into Barry Harris's teachings, and it's fascinating. Here's a link to the first installment. There is some very cool stuff going on, there. The presenter is a guitar player, but there's a lot there that could be translated to harp.
