I once had an old reed plate with a few metal-stiffened leather valves. I bought a kit from MicroMark and made some photo etched SS stiffeners for Ultrasuede valves. The etching process was much too complicated and I gave up on it. It might work. Compressing the Ultrasuede is much simpler. Installing metal stiffeners is also more involved.
Hello to Joe. I remain in awe of your ability to play by ear in different keys.
At age 97 I’m going to play the Handsfree Chromatic for some of my neighbors at the Woodbridge Terrace assisted-living facility.
I just glued some sheet rubber to the shelf of my music stand to prevent the sheets from slipping off.
