[Harp-L] Info on Hohner CX 12

Hi Roger,

interested to hear that you find the CX-12 Jazz sounds brighter than your original model. To the best of my knowledge, the only difference is that the mouthpiece on the Jazz is narrower. Personally I haven’t noticed a difference in sound, the construction is exactly the same. The unique design is by Gerd Knoppek, who I believe used to work as a designer for BMW before he came to Hohner.

The form of the CX 12 Jazz mouthpiece is much closer to the original design agreed on by our panel of experts when we developed this model around 1991. Hohner subsequently decided to make it thicker, so I was really glad when they brought out the Jazz version as I personally find it much more comfortable to play.
