Since these screws are self tapping screws, what I've found was the easiest
way to do it is make 100% sure that the reed plates and the comb is 100%
properly aligned and then reuse the screws from the old reed plate to do
the screw tapping and then use the new screws once this is done. You have
to remember that the reed plate screws are machine screws and they tend to
be very delicate and if you over torque (over tighten) them in the
slightest amount, you can strip both the screw as well as the screw hole
and cause some nasty air leak problems so do NOT get over macho when doing
this or you can count on these things to happen.
