[Harp-L] Bending notes on Chromatic

I’m just learning to bend notes on a chromatic. But I can’t find any explanation online of the physics of how this works. Anyone have the explanation, or know where I can find it?

Chromatic reeds, blow and draw, will bend at least 3 semitones, but that can’t be due to any interaction between the blow and the draw reed (as for diatonic)?
