I am offering six Brendan Power Lucky 13 harmonicas in excellent condition for sale.
One is a Paddy Richter model with silver cover plates in the key of C.
Eight are the standard Richter scale model in the keys of G, A, B, E, and F. Those have black cover plates. The G, B and E harps have the keys painted on the cover plates in yellow acrylic paint. The others are in stock condition.
I do not have cases or boxes for any of these. I'm offering all six for $150.  I'd prefer to sell them all at once, but failing that will sell at the $25 each price, Other options are the two Paddy Richter harps for $50 or the five Richter harps for $125. All prices will be plus shipping and insurance. U.S.A. shipping only, please.
These cost me $50 each and now sell new for $60 each on Brendan's Web site. I need to pay down some plastic debts. More info about them here:https://www.brendan-power.com/lucky13.php
Thanks for the bandwidth, e-mail me for photos or with questions.

Over the years, I?ve dabbled in western swing.  What I like most about this music is the way swing jazz is merged with country.  Here are a few of my chromatic harmonica recordings that capture some of that western swing groove.

Montana Skies was written by the swing guitarist Paul Reynoso and played by New West:

Panhandle Rag by Leon McAuliffe is a well-known western swing tune:

Back Home Again in Indiana is played with the jazzy swing groove so common in western swing:

Here is a western swing influenced version of Charmaine with a fiddle section reminiscent of Spade Cooley?s music:

Gardenia Waltz was written by one of the finest western swing fiddlers, Johnny Gimble:

Faded Love was written by the western swing giant, Bob Wills:

Here is a western swing influenced version of All of Me:

Little Rock Getaway is often played with pedal steel or lap steel guitar:

Here is a western swing version of Sweet Georgia Brown and incorporates many jazz tones:

Twinkle Little Star is a traditional country tune that is often played with a western swing feel:

Hello everyone,

Just letting you know that I just tried out a harmonica headset mic system
from DPA and it was a bit of a revelation!

Def worth having a look if you're a player wanting to be completely hands
free. Might not be the best for blues players but for others worth a shout!

Best wishes

Here's a fun tune by the Canadian fiddler Ned Landry that I adapted to the
harmonica. I'm joined onstage by a bunch of wonderful Montreal musicians.

Always nice to find some echo source whilst out on a walk with harp in
hand. In this case under a graffiti daubed bridge. Put's me in mind of some
witty graffiti I saw once which read, '

there are three things I hate in life.
1. graffiti
2. lists
3. irony

By Ned Landry? I know that tune, so maybe Ned got it from somewhere else.
I do a couple of calypsos using diatonic: 'Caroline' and 'Miss Bombilla
Brown' to name a couple.
Nice, John. Good to hear someone doing something other than blues/rock.

Just wanted to promote the Chess Records museum and Willie Dixon's Blues
Heaven organization. My wife and I spent a wonderful 2 hours there, with a
great tour guided by Janine Judge. Walking up the original wooden stairs
and using the same handrail as Sonny Boy II and Little Walter, quite the
rush. Sitting in the original studio used by so many greats in American
blues... nothing can compare.

I bet lots of y'all know about this place, but if you don't and you have a
couple hours to spare in Chicago, it is a mandatory pilgrimage for harp
players. Enjoy.

Howdy Harpsters -

Filmed this week, live (with looping) in our project studio, is our harmonica instrumental "Shake On It!" (first published with a much fuller arrangement on our Procrastination album). I'm playing my Kongsheng Lyra Gold chromatic, my current go-to harmonica for recording. For those who don't have the patience to sit through the first section where the guitar loop is being laid down, you can skip to 1:40 where the harmonica head begins :-).

While I composed this tune quite a few years back and have been playing it ever since, I still find it challenging and Penny keeps coming up with cool stuff on the bass to keep me smiling.

Hope you enjoy it!
