Yeah, I get that Rick. However, Stevie also happens to be a musical genius and a blind one at that, so perhaps those are contributing factors? :-). Hell, he invented a truly original and compelling style of playing chromatic as a teenager and has influenced most modern chrom players in a big way. And indeed, the music from people who've been oppressed is often the most moving and soulful, so I do believe there's something to that. My point was that there are many modern chrom players all over the world that are doing great and unique things on the instrument (with no lack of soul).
