If it doesn't have to be a tube amp and you have access to one, I would
suggest trying a Roland Blues Cube. I plugged a CM mic into a guitar
playing friend's and it sounded pretty decent, albeit at low volume. I
didn't spend much time dialing it in and it may not work at higher volumes
but it's about the size and weight you want.
