[Harp-L] playing clean AND fast

Nice harmonica approach, eliminating the need for most of the notes created through bending techniques on the lower end - slightly changing the melody to accommodate and using the upper register.- if this was your arrangement, you have a natural talent for melodic sensibility. I assume you are talking about soloing over the changes at high velocity? You can use this approach during a solo a la Miles Davis and not worry about velocity in favor of interesting melodic ideas.

Subject: [Harp-L] playing clean AND fast

I just recently did an uptempo video:

I had trouble getting some of the fast stuff during the solo clean enough to hear distinctly. My question to all of you is: Are there any tips or techniques for playing fast cleanly, except for starting slow, and speeding up? I'm hoping there's some tried and true practice regimens that I might not know of.Thanks for any and all help!
Brian
