The only American still alive that I would recommend that is close to Toots' level is William Galison.
Charlie Leighton was amazing - especially tone wise, but has passed on.

Thanks for the link to Anthony Serrano. I’m new to jazz chromatic harmonica, trying to learn how to play, and wondering who else you can recommend who I should hear. Toots Thieleman I do know about.
