Many folks do not know too much about me, except that I'm a highly visible
bass and chord harmonica performer, and that I played both with Jerry
Murad's Harmonicats beginning when I was 19 years old.  Well here's a
tidbit that is unknown to most people. In 1982, I played harp with Brian
Shaw's SHOWDOWN! when I was just 16 years old when they were passing
through Ohio and Pennsylvania without their harp player. Being a minor
then, I had to have a parent accompany me to all venues because of the
