Maybe.  The pictures are obviously posed, not candids, and were probably
publicity shots.  Maybe the photographer just happened to walk in when they
were discussing the score, or maybe the photographer said "I need a picture
of you three looking at the score."

Adler's word on the topic, whatever it is, is probably the last word.
Nobody else was inside his head.
