[Harp-L] Harp cleaning

During this north-east cold spell, I took the opportunity today to stay inside and do a mild cleaning of my harps.  After rinsing the first one ender the sink faucet and tapping out the water, I decided to use my Waterpik tooth flosser to clean them without disassembly.  Does anyone use this method, or have any thoughts as to how effective it is?  Or if it can damage the harps?  I used a very low pressure setting of the Waterpik.
