Subject: [Harp-L] International Blues Blowoff Update -SPAH Blowoff-
The 2017 International Blues Blowoff -aka the SPAH Blowoff- is once again
bringing a stellar lineup, including a BIG welcome to some worthy folks
making their first appearance. This year's rhythm section features a former
bass player for Taj Mahal and a past drummer with Eric Clapton... killer
players!
The IBB is open to the general public, you need not be a SPAH member in
order to attend.
Tickets are on sale now at www. harmonicaplanet.com/ibb-tickets The
limited number of VIP seats are expected to sell out well before the day of, buy
soon as possible if you want them. Advance purchase gains early entry
(best choice of seats) for either section. Tickets will also be available at
the door, but doubtful any VIP seats will remain available the day of.
There will be a nice variety of wraps/sandwiches/fruit/soup/salad/snacks
and beverages, as well as a bar serving beer, wine and cocktails. Come
hungry and get something directly in the showroom, in order to help cover the
food sales minimums imposed by the catering service.
Lineup and other details at www. harmonicaplanet.com/blues-blowoff
6pm Tuesday, Aug 15 in the main ballroom of the Downtown Hyatt Regency.
100 E 2nd St, Tulsa, Oklahoma, same hotel as the SPAH convention.
For first timers... The IBB is a separately produced sister event to SPAH,
admission is not included with SPAH registration. The IBB is a highly
recommended "Bucket List" event for any blues fan, many come to SPAH a day or
two earlier then they would otherwise in order to hang with other
attendees, see the host city, and to catch this show before the main action at the
convention heats up on Wednesday.
