I'm new to harmonica and am playing around with a spiral tuned harp. It is half-valved with valves on the draw bends. It is set up as follows:
blow    c    e    g    b    d    f    a    c    e    gdraw    d    f    a    c    e    g    b    d    f    a
I have noticed that some of the spiral tuned harps that play in the key of c have the root note in the second draw position. So, they are set up as follows:
blow    g    b    d    f    a    c    e    g    b    ddraw    a    c    e    g    b    d    f    a    c    e
Is there a particular advantage to having the root note of C in the draw 2 position as opposed to the blow 1 position? Brett A. Tipton
