[Harp-L] webcam sound

I would like to hear from you who
​are teachers or students of harp lessons using Skype or one of many webcam
video-chat programs.

Skype and ooVoo have updated, removing the option to use manual audio
control. The result is clipping or gating the audio signal. Both teacher
and student must be very close to computer microphones,  and consistently
loud, to keep the signal open and heard.

What are your solutions, please?
