I sent a message to this list about a month ago asking for references for chromatic harmonica repair in preparation for the recording sessions for "The Lucky One," which start this Friday. I eventually sent my Seydel Chromatic Deluxe to Greg Jones at 16:23 Harmonicas, and my CX12 to George Miklas.
I have both harps back now, well in time, and they play beautifully. The total cost was about $100, a little more than half the cost of a new Seydel Deluxe. So I have two brilliantly set-up harps for short money.
I've tended over the years to buy new chromatics when old ones wore out. Little did I know that such excellent service was available at a very attractive price. I'm a convert.
This is an unsolicited testimonial, and I have no interest, financial or otherwise, in these businesses, other than to hope that they stay in business at least until I stop playing chromatic harmonicas.
Thanks, Richard Hunter
