Re: [Harp-L] George Winston Solo Harmonica

Thanks for sharing Ryan and nice follow up by Rick! These are great tracks and performances. The liner notes are really detailed. Harp used, key, tuning, and positions. Inspired use of drones with melody playing too.

Many all of the songs use the same tuning:
"holes 5 & 9 draw tuned up one half step, and hole 10 (blow) tuned down one half step, in second position"
Is there another "official" name for this tuning? Country or major seventh tuning /// variation with the 10 blow down a half step.

Curious if anyone else has worked out with this tuning or knows of any other recordings.

PS- But there is some reverb/ room tone on the tracks Rick! Wonder what the room/ hall size, pre delay, eq., reverb and decay settings are ? :)

Hmm...no backing trax, no mics, amps, patches, loops, pedals etc. etc.
Just lips, tongue, epiglottis and lungs. This is still HARP-L, thanks
goodness. Nice one George; and thanks, Ryan.- RD
