Correction to my previous message on this topic: the Boss Micro BR BR-80 records at 24 bits. It also includes a 1/4" mic input on its petite back panel and a lot of FX. If you're not using mics with phantom power, and you want the higher quality for your tracks, this might be a better choice than the Tascam.
