Tulsa's 6th Annual Harmonica Summit will showcase harmonica aces âOkieâ Al Blake, Gary Allegretto, RJ Mischo, Billy Gibson, John Long, Michael Rubin, Jimmy âJuniorâ Markham and special guest stars. The 2015 Harmonica Summit, presented by the Route 66 Harmonica Club and the Oklahoma Jazz Hall of Fame will take place on Saturday, March 21st at the Jazz Depot, 111 E. 1st St., Tulsa, OK. Doors open at 11 am and programs start at noon, continuing well into the evening. Admission is $20 and kids under 14 are free with an adult. 

Daytime Workshops
This celebration of the harmonica will include a Kids Harmonica Workshop at noon, with free harmonicas and lessons for the first 50 participants, presented by award-winning Blues Educator David Berntson. At 1pm, the Route 66 Melody Makers will present harmonica lessons for adults, with free harmonicas for the first 50 adult participants. Headlining artists are nationally recognized harmonica performers and educators who will be presenting ongoing workshops throughout the afternoon, including a "teach in" where attendees can get one on one individual attention featuring harmonica playing techniques and theory, from beginners through intermediate to advanced. Workshops will also include sessions on amplified harmonica techniques with microphone and amplifier demonstrations by Dennis Oellig aka âMr. Microphoneâ, and Jon Popper of Eureka Springs. Also on the program is Harley's Harps, with his fantastic collection of rare and antique harmonicas. Bring in your own antique harps for Harley to evaluate. And Tulsa's own open harp surgeon Mike Peace will also be on hand for harmonica customization and tuning. Also featured will be other related harmonica vendors, including Jim Miller of Mississippi Harp Mics. Opportunities will abound for harmonica players to jam with blues legend Pat Moss in the âJamateriaâ during the day. Product displays, vendors and harmonica related giveaways will take place throughout the event. 

Evening Show and Dance
The evening's festivities will begin at 7:00 pm and will be hosted by international harmonica impresario RJ Mischo, with his hand picked band of the finest talent on the blues scene today. This big evening show and dance will feature performances by Oklahoma native and vocalist for the legendary Hollywood Fats Band âOkieâ Al Blake, traditional Blues legend John Long, world renowned harmonica instructor and performer Gary Allegretto from Los Angeles, the high energy harmonica of Memphis based Billy Gibson, and the incredibly diverse talents of Michael Rubin of Austin, TX, as well as Oklahoma Blues and Jazz Hall of Fame legend Jimmy âJuniorâ Markham, along with other special guests. Each of these world class harmonica players will bring their own magic and style to the Jazz Depot stage. 

Food vendors will be on site throughout the event and an open bar will be available in the evening.
