[Harp-L] Reed replacement tips/tools

Hi, I'm determined to get round to learning how to replace reeds and get some old harps on the road again. 

I'm looking for some tools for sale or some advice on alternative tools to the ones hohner and seydel sell. (they can be pricey)

I have a pillar drill and a variety of micro drill bits. Seydel M1.4 screws. 
Can it be done without reamers and taps?
