Re: [Harp-L] Inhaling through nose trouble, please help
Never say never, part 2.
Rick, if I try to end a note with my pharynx open, I just stop breathing. The note ends with the breath flow.
But maybe I want a sharper cutoff. If I use a T sound, even with the nose open, I still get a more immediate cutoff. Not as crisp as with the pharynx closed, but I can definitely end the note.
I find that I can also bend a note with air flowing through my nasal passages.
Of course, I've been playing a long time and can overcome the difficulty that nasal air flow imposes. But still, all these things are actually possible.
Never say never.

Crikey..this is still going on...if it hasn't been said already, they will
NEVER be able to end a note with the pharynx open.
