THis is great IF you like the sound of Hering reeds and if you don't mind their lack of durability. Herings in the past have been super responsive and very airtight, although the 14-hole Hering I acquired a couple of years ago was rather lacking in those desirable qualities.

Good to know about the Hering combs.

Just in case I wasn't clear, the Discovery comb didn't require any mods
with the 270 deluxe; I just chose to sand it and remove the backing plate.
But that's not necessary.
