Phil, if you take notice most of the people on shark tank have already sold lots of their product or made lots of money on it already.
The business and marketing end has been good and the people on there are looking to move the company to the next level.
Even a radical idea like an electric or midi harp would need to prove itself with sales before they would bother taking it to the next level.
The only product I know that comes close to a lot of sales are Greg Heumann’s mic connectors and alterations.

I really didn't need another steel string but it was a cutaway and those upper frets get a little crowded sometimes. I'm sure my wife thinks I have enough guitars -- classical and steel strings. But she thought I might be interested. She was right. And while I don't travel with it -- airplane protection is its chief goal -- I do find it handy to haul off to my week guitar lessons. But I didn't have a folding guitar and was fascinated and promptly ordered one.
