Neither could I. I kinda liked the chord available on both blow AND draw. Besides I was already doing something else. And it worked for me. 
And I always have trouble trying a new tuning. I actually started on chromatic, so diatonic was ALREADY a difficult step up.

This is true sometimes. Our minds eventually tell us: 'Go ahead, it's ok to try something new'
