[Harp-L] re:Richter+ tuning (and missing chords)
The A-minor [A-C-E] and A-minor7 [A-C-E-G] are some compensation for the other missing chords.
As for the "overblow" needed for Ab (in C-Major) then kindly remember that the diatonic notes are to be favored over the chromatic notes on the diatonic harmonica; having the 6th diatonic note directly available is beneficial to more players and especially new players.
One really well-known player commented to me that he prefers the standard "Richter" pattern because he enjoys needing to be a "genius" to play the instrument; that type of attitude is not consistent with expanding the usage of harmonica.
