[Harp-L] Audacity and punch in recording. You CAN do it!

You can accomplish punch in recordings rather easily on Audacity. It is
three steps: Silence, Record, and "Mix&Render"

1. Choose the track you want to overdub. Move it to the bottom of the page
so your new recording will be next to it. Use the cursor to select the
portion you want to overdub, then click "Silence". That section will now be
a flat line of silence.

2. Move your cursor to a few beats before where you want to begin the
recording (so you have a count in) and click 'Record' and record your new
take over that section.

3. If you like that take, then use the cursor to select BOTH tracks. Then
go to the "Tracks" dropdown menu. Select "Mix and Render" Now the two
tracks are mixed as one track, with the new recording is in place of the
old spot.

Silence, Record, Mix&Render. Easy.
