You know you have too much gear when:
- you have pieces in your possession that haven't been turned on, much less used, in 5 years.
- you have 3 or more pieces that all do basically the same thing in the same way (2 might be okay--everybody needs a backup).
- you've got half your gear in a storage locker on the other side of town, and you haven't visited the locker in six months.
- you calculate that if you live to be 80, and spend eight hours a day playing every day until then, you will be able to spend approximately 10 minutes with each piece of gear you own.
