Hi ,
I just purchased replacement reed plates for the original Hohner
Meisterklasse harps I purchased 30 years ago. the plates look brand new, and I first
replaced my D harp plates and they work well. But my A harp replacement
plates do not play the 1 and 2 blow hole. The note does not strike unless I
draw first then blow through the one hole, and even then the blow note does
not sound at times. Same for the 2 hole. All the other holes blow and draw
perfectly.
I have arked and gapped the one and two reeds and tried a number of things
to get the one and 2 to blow the note at first attempt. I have managed to
get an improvement of about 30% success on hitting the note on the first
strike, but not playable yet.
Any solutions??
thanks, Chris Mastakas
