Re: [Harp-L] Marine band

I started out with Special 20's, I still love them, but I started to work over MB, seal the combs, round the edges of the combs, and reed plates, Tune, adj, re adj, tune, bend, and generally tear them apart and build them the way I like. I find that all harps have there own voice, I also have  some Delta Frosts and Harpmasters, I play every night, and play out only on occation, I love them all for their  voices. Working on my own harps has made my harps better and me a better player, and I am cheap :-). A little knowledge goes a long way, Good Luck Eric S.

Subject: [Harp-L] Marine band

I'm wondering people's experience views on standard marine bands these days. My concern or query is do the combs still swell like they used to? I tend to buy deluxe these days. But need to consider a cheaper option at the moment.
