The bullet mics that many harp players prefer make chords into an unintelligible mess, so it's not surprising that the chords a Melody Maker can put out haven't gotten much attention in this thread.  With a clean mic like a Fireball, those chords sound very nice indeed.

The standard Richter tuning doesn't offer a lot of interesting chord variations, but the non-standard tunings like the Melody Maker, Natural Minor, Dorian Minor, and Country tuning certainly do.  Next time you have one of those in your hand, try opening your mouth wide and blowing or drawing on it.  You may be surprised how nice it sounds.  On a Natural Minor in particular, it's pretty hard to find 3-4 notes in a row that don't sound good played together.
