As for taste, I have done a lot of wood working and the sawdust from each of those woods tastes like what I think they are. Teak, rosewood, gums, ash, oaks, maples, etc. all have their own unique tastes. I happen to like sasafrass. lolol (Btw, metals also have their own tastes).
