I sent a note to the seller. I pointed out that there has never been a
confirmed Civil War harmonica found nor any photograph of a Civil War
soldier holding one.
He responded that
"As a metal detectortist for over 40 years hunting mostly Civil War sites
numerous harmonica parts have been recovered by myself and others. They are
seen at Civil War relic shows. Our reputation is quite good in the Civil
War relic community, and we stand by this item.
You certainly don't need to purchase it as you would not appreciate its
history.
There are no known photographs or written record of a Civil War soldier
holding a carved bullet, but many (some quite artisitic) are found when
metal detecting Civil War sites."
