I haven't payed appropriate attention to spiral tuning discussion, being
preoccupied with the German tuned diatonics and solo tuned chromatics.
>From the charts it appears that the draw 2 would be the tonic note for a
complete major scale without bending. Draw 2 is a fourth above the lowest
note, the blow 1. The blow draw note pattern is regular with no missing
diatonic notes and the blow notes are all lower that the corresponding draw
note on the hole.
So is the primary benefit of this tuning claimed by advocates the
regularity of the blow draw pattern and the expression made possible by the
tonic starting on a draw?
No octaves...
