Re: [Harp-L] Charlie Musselwhite

In a way, he's the Miles Davis of diatonic blues harmonica.
Always trying out new grooves with unusual bands, always hiring young musicians, his ideas sound unique to him and he always explores all kinds of position playing.

Like lots of us, I've loved Charlie Musselwhite's playing for many years, but
last night was the first chance I've ever had to hear him live....wow. He just
sounded great, and I do mean great. To state the obvious, Charlie has created a
unique, personal style through his use of positions. It was inspiring to hear
him.
