Re: [Harp-L] Chromatic harmonica for smaller mouths?

Short answer: No.

Long answer:

The Seydel chromatic hole-spacing is a tiny bit wider than it is on Hohner harps.

There is a reason for the chromatic spacing. Bear in mind that there are four reeds in each hole.

The width of one hole must accommodate:
- A comb partition between holes.
- Two side-by-side reeds with their 1/8”-wide valves.
- Some clearances so that the valves do not touch the adjacent reeds or partitions.

These all add up to the chromatic hole spacing. Any significant reduction in hole spacing would necessitate a radical change in design. The one that comes to mind is a 4-reedplate chromatic that works like two stacked diatonics. Thinking about how the slide would function on such a harp makes my head hurt.

Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.
