Dylan in my mind is a very underrated harmonica player. If you listen to  
his early stuff you can hear his chops. What he did is develop a style like 
no  other. How many players can say that! Okay he hits blurred notes now and 
then,  but he did not set out to be a jazz cat.

I am not  sure if Dylan really helped, but yeah, Hohner sold a lot of
harmonicas and  many excellent players started inspired by  Dylan.
