Hi Harpers,
First time ever posting..... Last night at the Bienen School of Music at Northwestern University Pick- Staiger Concert Hall, we were amazed by the following Harmonica Legends:
Howard Levy
Corky Siegel
James Conway
Pablo Fagundes
The Windy City Trio:
Ron Agnew
Bud Boblink
Bill Morris
The performances of these amazing entertainers would have been an over the top dance card, however, there was much more.
Howard Levy was accompanied by a classical pianist (Kay Kim) and through in some Bach and Chopin sonatas.
Corky Seigel just killed a cover of a Little Walter song "Blues with a Feeling".
The depth and breadth of these performers was beyond any words that I can come up with.
The performance was called :
Harmonica Convergence III .
I can only hope that there will be a Harmonica Convergence IV , next year and for those of us in the Chicago area, it will be a treat.
Thank you,
Bud Wyman
