Quick and dirty fix (IF you're nasty) is to run a bead of Elmer's or other suitable glue along the seam. Rub it in with fingers, wipe off excess, let dry for 45 minutes.
Now if the gap is large, you need to swage (press) the edges of the covers and make sure the ears aren't canted too much.
