Check the schedules at BB's Jazz, Blues, and Soups and at the Broadway 
Oyster Bar. They're next to each other and both offer good music and 
food most nights. Just down the road a mile or two is the Soulard 
neighborhood - lots of neighborhood bars that have live music on 
weekends, not sure about mid-week. Go to
